Words to Banish from Your Vocabulary

Words do have power. Some have more than others and we need to be conscious of what we are saying – not only to others, but to ourselves.

I found myself sinking into a somewhat self-destructive loop a few weeks ago where I was referring to myself as

Idiot

Loser

Lazy

Fatty

Slacker

Butterball

and a few others.

These are things I’d not call my friends, why on earth had I decided to start using them on myself? That shit needed to stop.

It made me think of other words that would be best banished from my vocabulary – none of us need to be doubting and sabotaging ourselves as we embark on our challenges.

Here’s my list, what words/phrases would you add?

Can’t

Impossible

But (usually preceded an excuse as to why something is “impossible”)

Never

When you get down to it, yes you CAN, it is POSSIBLE, and it will happen SOON.
